I first started working with coach Tony Scott during the summer of 2016 in preparation for my goal race that fall, the California International Marathon. Tony built a great training plan for me and instilled the mental resilience and physical toughness for me to get my marathon career back on track. I was able to record my second fastest marathon and fastest marathon in 3 1/2 years clocking 2:31:20 and winning the 2016 California International Marathon!
In January, 2016 I approached Tony Scott with the idea of running a half marathon that spring. Up until then I had no prior experience with endurance sports. Tony’s passion for the sport was contagious and sparked a whole new lifestyle for me. Before starting on a training plan, Tony had me run a local 5k race, which I clocked 23:23. Under Tony’s training I have lowered my 5k PB to 17:30! MCTC dedicate an unbelievable amount of time to getting the best out of all their athletes.
